Knowing Your Cell Phone

No one doubts that cell phone (celular) is one of the most used consumer electronics worldwide. But have you ever asked yourself how does a cell phone work? What is a cell phone? The amazing fact about a cell phone (celular) is that it is a radio – a very special one. The gurus in the line are Bell (1876), Tesla (1880) followed by Marconi and Bose (late 19th century). It is known that the concept of cell phone was produced by Bell Laboratories with the permission of FCC (Federal Communication Commission), and had everything to do with broadcasting and sending a radio message out over the airwaves. In cell phone technology cells divide the city, allowing for the facility to be frequently reused throughout the city. Millions can simultaneously avail of it.In devices that are half-duplex (walkie-talkies and CB radios) two communicators use a single frequency. This means that at a single point of time only one can talk. On the other hand a cell phone (celular) being a full duplex tool has two frequencies: one for talking and the other for listening. Thus a real-life conversation can take place. Cell phones (celular) glide through 1,664 channels whereas the walkie-talkie group has to be content with only 40. The walkie-talkie and the CB radio respectively reaches out to 1 mile and 5 miles but the cell phones, because of their ability to switch from cell to cell can cover incredible distances, even while driving at top speed. Each cell is approximately 10 square miles. The cells are usually depicted as hexagons. The unique frequency tiers avoid all possibilities of cross connections. Generally a carrier of cell phone can avail of 832 radio frequencies in a city. Each cell phone (celular) uses 395 voice channels (per carrier), that is 56 voice channels per cell. It means 56 persons can simultaneously say hello on the phone. In digital transmission technology the number of channels increases even further. For each cell phone 168 channels is available. The distinctiveness about cell phones (celular) is their low-power transmitters. Most use 2 strengths: 0.6 watts and 0.3 watts. In comparison it is 4 watts for CB radios. The advantage of this is that it can be frequently reused consuming less power. Cell phones are battery operated. The lower the power the smaller the battery. This makes the set handy and light. For cellular technology a city requires a good number of base stations. This can run into some hundreds of towers. But because of the huge number of users costs per head remain very low. Each carrier has one centre called MTSO or Mobile Telephone Switching Office. Its work is to see to all the connections.Cell phones (celular) each have codes, which enable identification of the phone, its user and its server. When someone tries to reach a phone the first thing is to locate the SID (system identification code) on the control channel, that is find out if the phone is within range or not. A message relays no-service when it is out of range. But when the SID is received then the next step is to find out whether the call is within its own home zone or not. The phone also tracks the location of the phone called on a database. Thus the MTSO knows the cell of the called number and caller. Communication is transmitted through the control channel and it is this link that activates the phone being called and calling. These are the facts of a cell phone (celular) as explained for a layman. It is always advisable to know at least the basics of a cell phone since it has become an integral part of our life. This article is under GNU FDL license and can be distributed without any previous authorization from the author. Billing increments Each call is measured in basic units called billing increments.
Billing increments are occasionally called “per minute rounding.” Most billing increments
are one minute, although some cards will measure in two- or three-minute increments.
International calling cards may charge in six-minute billing increments, so if you
make a seven-minute call, your card will be rounded up to the next increment and
you will be charged for 12 minutes.

Cutting Your Salt Intake Is Not The Only Way To Reduce Blood Pressure

There have long been a series of what can best be described as old wives titles typically surrounding what you can do and what you don’t have to do in relation to high blood pressure. Now usually leading the charge in this category of what can be also described as bar room advice is that all you need to do to treat high blood pressure is to reduce your intake of salt. Now while this piece of advice is basically sound though and is certainly one of the things you should consider, it is certainly not the beginning and the end of how you treat high blood pressure.Whilst the intake of salt and the effect that sodium has is certainly a crucial factor in relation to high blood pressure. High blood pressure treatment is about a lot more than just cutting back on salt. The reason this issue has recently come to the fore is that organizations right across the globe recently have been issuing policy statements calling for people to cut their stadium intake in half by the year 2020.A lot of organizations have been suggesting that we need to take our present average intake of sodium which he is approximately calculated to be 3,500 milligrams per day down to between 1,200 and 2,300 milligrams per day.Now 3500 mg a day of sodium is a lot and to cut it in half is certainly an ambitious undertaking but is one that is a good target to aim at as long as we are careful. The danger with this message is that people become too tightly focused on dealing with Sodium in their diet and tend to take their eye off the ball with regards to other factors in their lifestyle and diet that might actually be contributing more damage to their high blood pressure. The other aspect in all of this is that in an attempt to cut back on the amount of salt in their diet people practically change the diet that they are used to and because of the lack of foresight and careful planning tend to find other nutrients that have a more benevolent aspect get reduced as well.We tend to forget that in a lot of cases where sodium is present as a constituent part of any food quite often magnesium, calcium, potassium and other useful nutrients exists also. Now the danger here is that we reduce the food that contains the sodium but also reduce the other elements as well. Now it is fine to reduce the sodium but actually magnesium, calcium and potassium all appear to have what could best be described as blood pressure lowering effects. So what we are saying here is that it is not impossible to reduce the salt in our diets and indeed that’s a very good thing but what you have to do is think carefully about those foods that you plan to cut back on and make sure that you dont actually cut back on the good stuff as well!Careful planning is all that it takes, nothing more and nothing less. It is not a complex science and is one that certainly we should not get beaten out of shape over, just be sensible.About AuthorStephen Morgan writes about a great many health issues on the Internet and more can be found at Blood Condition High More Pressure and also at http://www.livingwithhighbloodpressure.net one of the few sites on the Internet to focus on the interests of those who suffer from High Blood Pressure.Source: ArticleTrader.com

Looking at the Bright Side of Bankruptcy

Is there a bright side to bankruptcy? Yes there is, although bankruptcy should still be considered your option of last resort, and the bankruptcy option only employed after you have thoroughly investigated all other options and alternatives. There are many downsides to filing bankruptcy, not the least of which is that this will become a huge red flag on your credit report for the next seven to ten years. But sometimes bankruptcy is the best option in a given situation and if that is the case, you need to understand that there are bright sides to bankruptcy. Keep in mind that, especially with the new bankruptcy laws, one cannot file for bankruptcy on a whim, nor can it be done if you have already declared bankruptcy in recent years. The bankruptcy court needs to APPROVE your bankruptcy before things can move forward, and that approval is not nearly as automatic as it once was. Yes, after looking in your particular financial situation in a great amount of detail, the court may actually decide that you are not eligible to file bankruptcy, and you have to seek another option out of your financial difficulties. One of the bright sides of bankruptcy, if you are approved to be able to file, is that the harassing phone calls from your creditors come to a screeching halt. But here is where it gets tricky because you also have some responsibilities here. After you have filed your bankruptcy petition and it is approved by the bankruptcy court, knowledge of this fact is not known to your creditors automatically. So the next time they call after your bankruptcy has been approved, keep track of the information. Write down the date and time of the call, which creditor it is, the name of the collections agency, and the name of the individual calling. Let them know that you have filed bankruptcy. By federal law, that stops calls from that creditor. The reason for keeping a notebook handy where you record this information is so that if a creditor calls again who has already been told that you have filed bankruptcy, again write down the name, phone number, name of the person and name of the creditor as well as date and time of the call. With that information in hand, you can inform the creditor that they are now in violation of federal law. The ball is now in your court. There have been cases where a creditor continued to call after being informed that you had declared bankruptcy, and as a result, the consumer filed a countersuit against that creditor for their continued calls, and the debt from that creditor was wiped clean!Another bright side to bankruptcy is your potential ability to start over with a clean slate and no financial obligations. Getting new credit is going to be difficult and you will have to spend time getting things like a personal loan, car loan, or even a mortgage, but it can be done. But since your credit report will show your bankruptcy filing clearly, be aware that it will be a longer row to hoe than it previously was.If you file bankruptcy under the Chapter 7 regulations, you will need to demonstrate and prove that you are unable to pay even a portion of your outstanding debts. If this can be proven to the court’s satisfaction, your slate will be wiped clean. The decision to file bankruptcy is not an easy one to make, and again, you are encouraged to examine all your options and alternatives. But if bankruptcy is your most viable option, make sure you understand the bankruptcy laws and have a bankruptcy attorney who understands them, because you don’t want to risk making a bad situation worse.About AuthorFor more insights and additional information about Bankruptcy Advice on the New Bankruptcy Laws as well as getting a free bankruptcy evaluation from a qualified bankruptcy lawyer who is local to you and familiar with the laws in your state, please visit our web site at http://www.bankruptcy-data.comSource: ArticleTrader.com

Facilities-Based Carrier Many of the larger telephone companies install, own, and
use their own networks of cables or fiber-optics instead of leasing from another
carrier. Keep in mind, though, that just because a company owns and uses its own
network, this does not always equal a better deal. Some resellers actually provide
a better deal because, as smaller companies, they may need your business much more
than a telephone mega-corporation.

Find Out Which Assets Are Exempt In Bankruptcy

You need to be very careful when you are listening to “common wisdom”, since much of that is rooted in fact that has long since ceased to be accurate, or is “fact” that started as an assumption but is not based in reality. This is particularly true when you are considering a step as drastic as bankruptcy, which also carries some long term negative aspects, not the least of which is a huge blemish on your credit history report for the next seven to ten years. One of the popular myths about bankruptcy is that when one files for bankruptcy, they will lose everything they own; i.e., their house, their car, their furniture, right down to that box of unopened dog biscuits. The bottom line is that this is simply not true. While bankruptcy is not something that you want to enter into without having carefully considered each and every one of your possible alternatives and options, the goal of the bankruptcy court is not to kick you when you are down, and turn you into one of the millions of homeless people. The reality of the situation is that most items that are necessary for to live are exempt from being seized and sold in the event of you filing for bankruptcy. Even with the recent changes in the bankruptcy laws, consumers who file bankruptcy are allowed to keep personal items that are exempt from being sold to satisfy creditors, with of course certain stipulations and conditions.Any consumer who is filing bankruptcy must complete detailed paperwork which includes disclosure documents that must indicate the nature and total amount of all of the consumer’s assets. This form will also require detailed information about how income, all of your financial obligations including any mortgage or car payments, as well as any other assets such as pensions, stocks, savings accounts, CDs, etc. Be very aware that this is no time to kid around or forget anything, since providing inaccurate or downright false information on this form is a federal offense and could land you in prison for bankruptcy fraud. Do not be tempted to take the chance of making your bad situation much worse. If the outstanding balance on your mortgage is more than 80% of its value, you may keep your home. If you car is worth less than $2000 in fair retail price, you can also keep your car. If you have some money tucked away somewhere in a checking or savings account, you need to report it but you are allowed to keep $2000 in cash when filing bankruptcy. Your pension and IRA accounts are typically exempt, especially since there is usually a huge early withdrawal penalty if the funds are removed early to pay off creditors. If you have a children’s college fund setup and as long as it is labeled as a college fund account, it is also exempt.Again, the reason for these exemptions is that filing for bankruptcy was designed to protect you from your creditors, where all of them are calling you at all hours of the day and night, sending threatening letters and sending collection agencies after you. Bankruptcy protects you from that stress. But at the same time, the purpose of bankruptcy is NOT to turn you into a homeless person who now lives on welfare. It is well understood that you need a place to live, clothes to wear, and transportation to get to work.Bankruptcy is not easy, and the recent drastic changes in the bankruptcy law make it something that is really no longer a do-it-yourself project. The money you save with a bankruptcy attorney to guide you through the process is a drop in the bucket compared to how much more you may have to give up if you don’t know the letter of the law.About AuthorFor more insights and additional information about Bankruptcy Law Bankruptcy Advice as well as getting a free bankruptcy evaluation from a qualified bankruptcy attorney local to you, please visit our web site at http://www.bankruptcy-data.comSource: ArticleTrader.com

An Inside Look At Chapter 13 Bankruptcy

When a consumer is considering bankruptcy, the usual way to file it is to use Chapter 7 bankruptcy but in some cases it makes more sense for the consumer to file under Chapter 13 bankruptcy law. All bankruptcies, regardless of which chapter is filed, are done under the jurisdiction and supervision of the federal bankruptcy court. The consumer who files under Chapter 13 bankruptcy protection is shielded and protected from creditors who might otherwise file a separate lawsuit against the consumer to collect the outstanding debt owed. When a consumer files Chapter 13 bankruptcy, the debt from all creditors is consolidated into one debt, it drastically reduces and sometimes even eliminates interest payments, and in almost all cases, it lowers the total amount of money that the consumer needs to lay out each month. One of the beautiful parts about this is that after you have notified the creditors that you have filed bankruptcy, Chapter 13 or any other chapter, they can no longer call you or send you threatening letters, which only serves to increase your stress level anyway. You are recommended to keep a notebook near your phone and note which creditors you told about your bankruptcy, noting date, time, creditor and the name of the person you talked with. If they persist in calling after being notified that you have filed bankruptcy, they are in violation of federal law and you may have the option at that point of bringing a countersuit against them for that violation. Believe me, they are well aware of that and do not want to risk it.Now by looking at this explanation, if you have been doing research into your bankruptcy options, you may have noticed that Chapter 13 bankruptcy sounds very similar to the process of using a debt consolidation service. You are right, but there are some very distinct advantages and disadvantages of each. For example, a debt consolidation service charges a small fee for their services, where the total amount of that fee would probably be a bit more than you would pay for your Chapter 13 bankruptcy filings and legal fees. But then again, with a debt consolidation service, your credit score is maintained and the fact that you are using a debt consolidation service is frequently not even visible on your credit reports, whereas a bankruptcy filing is a huge neon sign on your credit reports for the next 7 to 10 years. Although everyone’s situation is different, it would seem that a debt consolidation service, even though costing a bit more, would have much fewer long term negatives. You should really compare both options with a good bankruptcy lawyer so you can make an informed decision about what is best for your circumstances. So the bottom line is that a chapter 13 bankruptcy gives the consumer the opportunity to pay off their financial obligations in a timely manner. The amount that the consumer will pay each month is determined by the bankruptcy court and will be an amount determined by a close examination of the consumer’s sources of income. A trustee is appointed by the court and the consumer’s check each month is given to that trustee. In most cases, this must be a certified check or cashier’s check, so it is going to be a bit more hassle to get that kind of check each month and get it to the trustee. If you are considering bankruptcy as a consumer, you can either file Chapter 7 or Chapter 13. But especially with the recent changes in the bankruptcy laws, filing bankruptcy is no longer a “do it yourself” process unless you are willing to get very familiar with the bankruptcy laws. Making a mistake in the complex procedures that have been established could easily end up costing you more than a bankruptcy lawyer’s fees.About AuthorFor more insights and additional information about Chapter 13 Bankruptcy as well as getting a free bankruptcy evaluation from a qualified bankruptcy lawyer local to you, please visit our web site at http://www.bankruptcy-data.comSource: ArticleTrader.com

Firefighting UK – A Firemans Diary

This Diary Entry was taken from Firefighting UK| A Firemans Diaryhttp://firefightinguk.blogspot.com/Day 4 – Big R.T.C. Morning all,I was on nights last night (14 hour shift), and it was filled with carnage, due to a very nasty incident in the city centre. The incident came through our turn out system just after 2300 hours.R.T.C. (road traffic collision) involving 3 cars in an underpass – persons trapped.Whhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I slid down the pole, closely followed by “tasty critter”, who was riding on the back of the truck with me (BA Wearers). The turn-out sheet informed us that 3 appliances had been mobilized to the incident, and a Major Rescue Unit was also en route. The M.R.U. is a large mobile type building that fits on the back of a specialized truck called a Prime Mover, and it is taken to incidents and dropped off there. It contains specialist equipment that isn’t necessarily carried on the standard fire appliances. Larger cutting equipment, lighting, generators, giant inflatable airbags (used for lifting), shoring timber, angle grinders and much more. The list would go on and on, so i will stop there. Both appliances from our station were mobilized. The doors went up, the blue lights came on, and we were off. The first thing we do when attending RTC’s is to put on a high-viz jerkin, this is for our safety when working on the roads, and casualty gloves (latex-throw away) to prevent contamination from bodily fluids, blood etc.Over the airwaves of the radio, we could hear that numerous calls were being made to control regarding this incident in an underpass. I quickly realised that we were probably going to be the first trucks on the scene, so i grabbed the trauma pack. This is a 20kg pack with carry handles, containing essential life preserving equipment. Oxygen cylinder with face masks, burns gels and dressings, bandages, lint, CPR control box (cardio pulmonary resuscitation) scissors, catheters and jankeur tubes (used for sucking blood etc from say a casualties mouth) and lots more useful stuff. We aren’t miracle workers, but we do receive excellent training in Trauma Care, and we all have to be of a good standard, taking exams and refresher courses on a regular basis. Our job is to ensure that the patients condition doesn’t get worse and remains static until the Paramedics arrive. God, do i love to see a Paramedics face when the s**t hits the fan. I have the utmost respect for Paramedics, and this is the vocation i would choose if i wasn’t in the Fire Service. They are worth there weight in gold.Anyway, all the time that i was getting prepared, so was tasty critter next to me. Blowing up his casualty gloves before putting them on. Tasty, has a habit of trying to put these tight fitting latex gloves over his head. It still makes me laugh every time he does it.(nutter). He didn’t this time though, as he was focusing on the job in hand.As we approached the incident, the traffic was at a standstill, and the public were all trying to get a good look down the underpass. I personally hate it when they do this, and i think that goes for all firefighters. “Wind your necks in” and let these unfortunate people who are in agonising pain, suffer without having an audience. The Police waved us through, and we were greeted with total carnage. A Subaru Impreza and a Ford Escort estate, had collided head on and a BMW coupe had slammed into the back of them. I could see quite clearly that the driver of the Ford Escort was in a “mess” and the worst of the bunch via the windscreen that was no longer in the vehicle. The Subaru was facing the wrong way to the flow of traffic and looked like it had crossed the central reservation at speed, slamming into the Escort head-on. It transpired that it was being driven by youths, who had managed to get out and flee the scene. We usually find these idiots, in a heap 200 metres down the road. They try to run, but their bodies won’t. They forget that all of their internal organs have been ripped to bits due to the impact, and they drop to the floor like a sack of potatoes. This time they were lucky and had managed to escape. The driver of the BMW couldn’t get out his car, as the doors had been jammed by the force of the impact, and a “bullet hole” was visible on his windscreen. (this is a term used to describe the impact mark the drivers head made on the windscreen).I visibly couldn’t see anybody else involved. Tasty and i ran towards the driver of the Escort. He was our priority after quickly assessing the scene. The car was smashed to pieces and the driver was unconscious. I had to climb through the rear off-side window to gain access. My first job was to ensure he had an airway and establish that he was still alive. I removed my lid (helmet)gave it tasty, and climbed in.The rear seat was showered in shards of glass and there was blood on the roof inside. I was now sitting behind the unconscious driver. This is the place i needed to be in order to control the “C-Spine” of the casualty. I placed my hands firmly on each side of his head (behind his ears) and raised his head to the neutral position.I could instantly see a large open wound on the top of his head. I called for tasty to assist me with covering the wound and i informed him that the man had his feet trapped behind the pedals of the car. From my position, i had a good view and could see that he had multiple fractures to both legs, a broken arm and several open wounds, the largest of which, was on his head.As i turned to the side to assess the damage, i noticed two women sitting on the roadside covered in blood, only 5m from the vehicle. It later transpired that they were passengers in the back seat. “Stealth” and “Action Jackson” (from our 2nd appliance) were now dealing with them. One of them was screaming uncontrollably. It was her husbands head that i was holding and she presumed he was dead. Both were splattered with blood, but i had a job to do and a serious one at that.I quickly found that my patient had a pulse in his neck, what a relief!. He was in a mess, but ALIVE. I shouted this news to “A.J” who informed his wife much to her relief. Suddenly, the driven became conscious and let out a piercing scream. This man was in serious pain and i looked round to see if the paramedics were here yet. “Give this man Morphine quick” i said, as a pair of green paramedic trousers became visible to my right.Being in control of the C-Spine meant that anything happening had to come from me. It is an important role and one i was used to carrying out in my years in the job that i love so much.Access was very difficult for the paramedics, as the front offside of the car roof had virtually collapsed due the severe high speed impact! An oxygen therapy mask came through the window and was placed on the drivers face. This would help calm him down a little and prevent shock from setting in.He was now shouting that his legs were smashed and that he was in agony. I asked him his name to which he replied “Steve” and then i proceeded with the vital questions such as when did you last eat, are you on medication, do you have any current medical conditions etc. This is vital information needed while they are conscious. Information that i would relay to the paramedics in order for them to be better equipped for the job that lay ahead of them.As soon as i had found the information out, he was unconscious again. The sound of engines (from the pumps used with hydraulic cutting equipment) filled the air and artificial light was now lighting up the scene like a football match. The crews outside were beginning to cut the car away. Space creation we refer to it as. We can do more if we have more room, and there was no way of getting this man out to hospital, with the car in its current state.I had a plastic shield held in front of my face, as well as the driver while the crews with the cutting gear went into action. Glass was being smashed all around us and it was extremely noisy. When we train for these incidents we take it in turns to pretend to be the casualty in the car. This gets us used to what the patient has to endure when confronted with this scenario. It is quite frightening when you have been smashed to pieces and all you can hear is glass smashing and metal being crushed all around you. We therefore take this into consideration and warnings are given before each smash or cut being carried out.The bandage on the mans head was now sodden with blood, and i needed to change it for a fresh one. I called this out and within 5 seconds another was passed through the window. I asked for support with maintaining the head static as i needed to adjust my position in the car. A fireman from another station appeared, and leaning through the front window across the dash he took the head fro my control with a careful swap over. My arms were going numb, having maintained the same position for so long.I could now do a much better assessment of the driver with my hands freed for a moment. I felt down the drivers torso and could feel a couple of ribs jutting into his skin.(suspected broken ribs). His right arm was definitely broken as were both leg, and his head was still giving me concern as it was a very deep wound. He was however still wearing his seat belt – The only reason he was still alive, in my opinion.I then took back control of the head and within one minute the roof was removed from the car. Fresh air blasted round my face (a welcome relief for me inside). Above me was the roof of the underpass which was covered in sooty stains from the mountain of traffic that had used it over the years. It’s strange the things you don’t normally notice any other day of your life. There was another series of loud bangs, and next thing, both doors had been removed on the drivers side. His car had just been turned into a 2 door convertible. There he sat totally exposed to the elements, with me holding his head in the neutral position. The Paramedics could now get access to the vehicle and quickly administered morphine to counter the terrific pain he was suffering. Back to consciousness he came again, though his pulse was getting weaker and his skin even “clammier and pasty” he began speaking again. I told him my name and assured him he was going to be out in a few minutes. He kept asking me how his wife was, and i took great pleasure in telling him she was sat 5 metres away being treated on the road side. He could.t make sense of what i was saying and he kept asking me over and over like i hadn’t told him the answer.I spotted a pedal cutter coming across the floor. One of the lads was going to cut the pedals off that were trapping his feet. A very easy task with a specialist tool. Within minutes they were gone. I was then informed that a spine board was being brought over in order to remove the driver from the car. He kept asking me not to leave him, and over and over i assured him i was going nowhere.Over the duration of this incident i was building a bit of a rapport with Steve. I was treating him to the best of my ability – to make a comparison, i was giving him the same level of care i would have given to one of my own kids. This is standard procedure for a firefighter, and the professionalism i witness on a daily basis from my work colleagues never ceases to make me feel proud to be part of such a great organization.Next thing, i was told the spine board was to be placed from above down the back of the driver torso. Everybody got into position for the extrication and the board was slid in. Now upon my say so, we were going to slide the driver up the board and then lower it to a horizontal position. The seat was wound back as low as we could get it and the board was at an angle of about 45 degrees. “1, 2, 3…..LIFT.” Inch by inch he was moved up the board. I counted 6 firemen doing the lifting. “1, 2, 3…LIFT, and he was on and ready to go. Steve was still calling for me not to leave him and i told him that it was all over now, his wife was okay, but that he had suffered a bit of damage, but that life would go on for him and his family. He thanked me over and over for the care he had been showed. “Just doing my job” i replied, but he didn’t see it that way. Next thing he was put into the back of an ambulance and the familiar whale of the siren could be heard as he sped off into the night en route to hospital. It was only now, that i could have a good look round the scene. It looked even worse now, as the road was littered with all the parts that had been removed from the car. The roof, the doors, spoilers, glass and hundreds of pieces of debris.Everybody had worked hard, although i couldn’t tell you what most were doing as i was so focused on the driver of the vehicle. I don’t have to worry about my colleagues as i know that they are highly trained for virtually any kind of scenario. We proceeded to sweep the glass from the road, gathered our equipment up, said our goodbyes and jumped back on the appliance to return to Home Station.I was congratulated on the Stirling patient care i had offered the driver and then we all settled down in the TV room to watch the movie “Hostel”Put it this way – It wasn’t going to make us feel sick was it!Nothing else of interest happened after this thankfully and we were able to watch the entire film uninterrupted from start to finish.See you soon folks!Firefighter XThis Diary Entry was taken from Firefighting UK| A Firemans Diaryhttp://firefightinguk.blogspot.com/To subscribe to the RSS Feed on this site, here is the adress:http://feeds.feedburner.com/FirefightingUkAbout AuthorI am a fully qualified operational UK Firefighter. Cell Phone Purchase Guide

To own a cell or mobile phone (telefone celular) used to be a dream of most people not long ago. But as technology evolved and with the introduction of new players in the market, they became available with an affordable price range. These days, cell phones (telefone celular) can be found from different manufacturers and even the cheapest of them boast features such as FM radio, camera and MMS capabilities. Amid the wide-range of models available to the customers in the market, it is often difficult to make a perfect choice.Although design and looks of mobile phones (telefone celular) are factors that may influence one to make a purchase, the following are some important considerations that should be taken into account while buying a new device.1 – Contrary to what most people think, it is the calling plan that is more important than the cell phone itself (telefone celular). You may get a host of attractive features with the device but unless its calling plan is suitable for you, it is not worth buying it.One important thing about a calling plan is the regional or nationwide service coverage. Imagine if you are going to extensively use your cell phone (telefone celular) only within a particular region, then there is no point in getting a device having nationwide coverage. This can save you a substantial amount of money. Also, choose the right cell phone plan for your calling habits. If you are the one who literally spend a fortune on their phone bills, then go for the services that offer saving schemes. Otherwise, you can opt for services that help you control your expenses on cell phones (telefone celular).2 – Think if you really need a camera phone. How often will you be using it in your day to day life ? Besides, most online service plan providers offer a free handset with their service plan. Some even offer a cash-back on the cell phone (telefone celular) purchase. So, explore your options before buying a device. 3 – Dont go by the look of the cell phones (telefone celular). Eventually, it becomes outdated over the times. A bulky hand-set is difficult to carry around. So pick one that fits your size.4 – Pick a wireless carrier first then select the phone you want. Inquire your friends, relatives, and acquaintances if they are satisfied with the phone service they are using. Since, you will be using it in the same neighborhood they are the ones who can offer you the best advice on this. 5 – Online purchase is always a good idea as you can get the accurate descriptions in writing before you buy. Shopping online allows you to know the plain truth about each phone (telefone celular) and service. On the contrary, staffs of cell phone kiosks are paid on a commission basis and they always try to con the buyers into buying their phones at a higher rate. So you can never be sure about these buys. This article is under GNU FDL license and can be distributed without any previous authorization from the author. Mistakes to Avoid

Do you like to avoid pain? You can accomplish this by avoiding the mistakes that have been made by me and others.Do not spend more than fifteen or twenty minutes in a public restroom. I spent about an hour in a fast-food restaurant restroom nearly fifteen years ago. A manager threatened to call the police. If you eat out, leave the restaurant after you finish eating. One time I stayed at a fast-food restaurant watching the lobby television after I finished eating. The restaurant manager told me that I could not stick around after eating. The next time I ate there, he told me, You are welcome to come in and order whatever you like, but if you sit down to eat, I will call the police and have you arrested for trespassing. I was evicted from a mall on a Sunday nine years ago. My intention was to buy a pair of gym shoes and leave to go to my school library. An unfortunate event resulted in a plan change. I lost my wallet and the ninety dollars that were in it as a result of the wallet slipping out of my shallow back pocket while I rode the bus to the mall. I decided to spend the whole day at the mall because I did not want to walk the long distance to school before walking all the way home. I was evicted for a day because I spent too much time in the restroom and too much time in the food court without eating. If you must spend hours at a mall, you should browse the mall or use most of the time to do something constructive such as reading or studying at the malls bus stop shelter.Carry wallets and keys securely. If you decide to carry them on you, carry them in a deep back pocket or front pocket. I have lost wallets and keys by carrying them in a side pocket or shallow back pocket.Do not carry all of your money inside your wallet or purse. Never carry your birth certificate, social security card, checks or money orders inside your wallet or purse. You must move on when a friend dumps you or dies. At the beginning of my junior year in high school, someone who had been my friend since the seventh grade stopped wanting to be bothered with me. I spent too much time being miserable until I met new friends a few months later. I never heard the phrase that says, Life goes on until a few years after I graduated from high school.Do not call anyone too much. At one point in high school, I made a telephone call to my friend every day before he threatened me.Never attend a job interview without knowing something about the company. Visit the companys website. Six years ago I was interviewed by a school district for a teaching assistant position. I was one of the five applicants being considered for two available spots. I thought it was not necessary to do research on a school district. One of the two interviewers asked me, What do you know about us? I sat there in silence and embarrassment. I am still looking for a steady job.Do not walk a long distance to work, especially in hot weather. Eleven years ago, I walked all the way to my audiovisual assistant job during the summer months and arrived funky. One time while a fellow worker was training me to use the audio control room, I reached over him to press a button. He got a whiff of my underarm and said, Please dont reach over me. He exited the room. Toward the end of the summer, the supervisor told me that one reason my annual contract was not being renewed was that I had not learned how to use the audio control room sufficiently.Do not expose cassette tapes to sunlight. I left a tape containing recorded songs sitting near my bedroom window, leading to its demise. If you attend a movie, do not sit in a row where others are talking. While I saw a movie, a lot of people sitting in a row in front of me talked. A lady came back with a police officer and said, This entire row has been talking. He ejected the entire row.If you are a student who has been earning perfect grades, please do not panic if you get a lower grade. If you have a child who is distraught over something, please provide counseling and constant supervision for awhile. Several years ago, a girl who was accustomed to receiving perfect grades received a lower grade and hung herself with her ceiling fan.If a mosquito bites you, brush it off before killing it. Several years ago, a girl squashed a mosquito where it bit her. The mosquitos saliva went deeper into her blood, causing a fatal infection.Do not throw anything at buildings. When I was sixteen, I threw a pebble at the wall of a school while walking on the parking lot. The principal asked me, Are you trying to break something? I replied, No. Her response was, There has been vandalism around here. Please leave before I call the police. She walked away. I stayed on the premises, not understanding that she was calling the police. The police came and let me go with a warning. Do not discuss hate with children. Around twenty years ago, I played with a neighborhood girl at her house. I told her that the boy across the street hated me. Her father told me, I dont teach my daughter to hate anyone. You must leave. Make a trip to the site of a job interview before the day of the interview to make sure that you can find the place. A few years ago, I arrived to a few job interviews late because I had trouble finding the place.Do not ask for directions to a restroom at an unfamiliar place. Three years ago, I asked an employee at an unfamiliar building where the mens restroom was. He took me to a restroom that was behind a gate that he opened. Someone else who worked there ordered me to leave.Bus riders should try to get to a bus stop at least six minutes before the scheduled arrival time because a bus will come up to five minutes early sometimes. Many bus drivers will not stop for you away from a bus stop. Some bus drivers will yell at you for lying down on a bus seat. Do not board a bus while someone is coming off.Do not put wet clothes or bags on your bed. This can cause a rotten stench and make your mother furious.
