Can I view contacts saved to my pc from a nokia e51 without connecting another phone to the pc?

Yes. There are several programs that can extract messages and contacts from Nokia backup files. Try some of the links below: Noki is awesome, but not free. ABC Amber NBU Converter is a little more basic, but free. Take your pick.
