Garmin should be better, since Garmin mostly only do GPS recievers. I have a N82 and a Garmin in my car. I also like the Garmin GPS more but I think Nokias GPS is very good for the price you pay, incl. a very desent camera and ofc a cell phone.

hi, can I use nokia maps offline (without any internet connecion) just download the maps from nokia over WLAN (for example a whole country)

I tried using it the other day, my conclusion is that you always need to connect to a WAP or GPRS or WLAN connection in order to get the gps to work. (As well as getting the GPS signal should work) But I think you could just download ‘em and browse ‘em. Not sure though :/
