the hardware is awsome…it has much better graphics acceleration and 3d support than iPhone and for the most part is blisteringly fast. Shame about resistive touch screen though.
“best purchase I have ever made in my techie life.”
lmfao, if an iphone is the best purchase you made in your so called techie life, then you know nothing about technology. hahah.
comment was not even in support of the iPhone or safari. But rather just to say that the browser in this video isn’t ground braking, especially when compared to how groundbraking firefox was on PC when it debuted. This mobile beta browser is crippled by hardware and won’t be anything special until they develop new hardware or port it to the iPhone.
That’s a lie, or broken. I’ve been doing this entire thing on my iPhone. Navigating and typing, quickly. I don’t know where this is going though. It’s the best purchase I have ever made in my techie life. But my original comment was not even in support of the iPhone or safari. But rather just to say that the browser in this video…
And I’ll do the same once HTML5 is actually implemented into those BETA browsers that run on those not so responsive operating systems that weren’t originally designed for thouch screens. Nokia? What decade is it?
And it’s bot just multi touch. It’s the specific sensitivity of it’s screen. It’s the undisputable best on the market, that can’t be replicated yet. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll jump ship as soon as something better comes along. But nothings close yet. Get one, live with it for a week, then tell me I’m wrong.
so multitouch makes a browser the best? How so? So you could have the worst browser in the world, without bookmarks, or add-ons, or javascript even, but if it had some childish pinching gesture, then it would be worth all that hassle and lack of basic features? That doesn’t make sense to me.
The iPhone browser is not great because of safari. But because of the patents that support the iPhones touch screen. The same US patents that prevent droid phones from having multi-touch in the states, when the sane phones have it in Europe. No phone in the near future will be as perfect to the touch as the iPhone because everything that makes it so uniquely perferct, is patented. Plain and simple. Thumb me down if it’s not true, but not just if you disagree.
Rip of of Opera Mini/Mobile.
@killplaystation , yeah right… your superior experience in Safari.. but, with no Flash support..
Damned fanboys.. they’re everywhere..
The hardware of the N900 is far better than anything else available…
The browser in the vid is in development.
The type of touch n900 uses makes it far more sensitive/accurate
This isn’t the browser that comes with the N900.
This is a vid of a browser in development.

not bad browser, its still at its developing stage though, overall I like using, its peformance is almost like modori
I’ve had an iphone 3G, the screen was very good but not very accurate at all, and I couldn’t end up affording it so I had to give it up.
And I’ll do the same once HTML5 is actually implemented into those BETA browsers that run on those not so responsive operating systems that weren’t originally designed for thouch screens. Nokia? What decade is it?
once safari mobile gets flash and HTML5 then I’ll consider it in the same league as the mozilla browser on the N900, Opera mobile and Firefox mobile

It actually has all those things. You only don’t get it because you don’t want to, based on conclusions that you jumped to blindly.

what’s so great about Iphone safari? I can’t even watch youtube videos and it most sites it goes straight to the mobile version. terrible experience
I just got one.. this phone is insane… the first thing I did after getting n900 was to sell my iPhone and Droid on ebay..
yes.. 9.4.
YES MAN YES.
