2G transfer rates in a 3G neighborhood
I have an iPhone 3GS and a MacBookPro,2 with a Globetrotter datacard (an Option GT Max 3.6 HSDPA Expresscard). When I work remarkably near the Microsoft campus in Redmond, WA, both devices hook up using Edge, or Mac OS X 10.6 says "ATT 2.5G" at the top of the WWAN menu

Issue with losing signal and not re-acquiring network.
My iPhone loses service in conference rooms but when I leave, it doesn’t seem to reacquire the network. Do other’s have this issue? What have other’s done to re-acquire without rebooting the phone? I’ve tried going into "settings" but couldn’t find a reacquisition button. Any help would be appreciated. steven
