- Jim ClarkCan we for once come to the agreement that while it is great football is back, we can’t wait for the pre-season to be over? Oh there was some bad football played and, if you are like me and have the NFL Network, I saw a lot of it.The third game of the pre-season is supposed to be when the teams play their first-stringers into the third quarter. If that is the case, I feel bad for Oakland Raiders fans out there. Until the Panthers came along, I was a die-hard Raiders fan. What is wrong with the NFL?(new stadium in Dallas)
The NFL announced that Jerry Jones is allowed to keep the jumbotron in it’s current position. If the ball hits the jumbotron it is considered a dead ball and the down will be replayed. When the RCA dome was built, they brought in the punter to kick the ball during construction in order to make sure the jumbotron would NOT interfere with the game. Why they did not do this in Dallas is beyond me. I think the jumbotron should have been made so that they could raise and lower it pending on the event being held at that time. The NFL should have told Jerry Jones to FIX the problem and NOT create new rules to work around it. What a bunch of crap!! Message Edited by jmk37 on 08-29-2009 06:43 PM
